Finally got around to hacking together some of the terrible footage I took while in the Wallowa Mountains of eastern Oregon. Great snow the first couple of days with progressively warming temperatures throughout the week. The last full day we woke to rain and the persistent sounds of large slides coming down the bigger terrain across the valley from the yurt. I was plagued by gear malfunctions this trip which is becoming more of a norm than an exception. First hut trip: Broken binding. Third hut trip: Broken boot buckle. This hut trip: Binding ripped out of ski and boot hinge bolt "broke." What is my problem? I was able to remount the binding on the second day. Both of the gear malfunctions occurred on the first day. And the loose boot hinge just made for some really comfortable skinning. I think I might leave it. Anyway, here's the video clips from the GoPro.
