Speedflying North Shoulder of Chair Peak and Mt. Roosevelt

An absolutely beautiful day to make some new speedflying runs in the Cascade backcountry with my good friend Joe. The first flight, as shown in the video footage, was off the north shoulder of Chair Peak. A perfectly easy launch with an impressive cliff band and a flat landing on Snow Lake makes for a truly fun flight. With the stoke of such a great flight still coursing through our veins, we decided that there was really no question whether we were going to ascend Mt. Roosevelt. Roosevelt is pretty cool ascent with a short, narrow, steep shoot that requires a boot pack to the shoulder of Mountain. A decent, although certainly committing and steep launch just below the summit allows for a long run off the peak. The descent is full of big cliffs and tree skimming with another landing on Snow Lake. The trip out was an easy skin across the lake, over the pass and back to the car via Source Lake. A great sunny day in the mountains with its fair share adrenaline. Thanks Joe.
